I work at the University of Glasgow, which is in Glasgow in west Scotland 🙂 My office is joined onto a zoology museum that is full of cool animal exhibits! It’s a nice place to take a tea break. I made a video tour of the museum here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqR7g1PzPEs and a video of my office here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GXb3KBWQyU 🙂
I am working at the University of Nottingham 🙂 hehe land of Robin Hood!
Not as lucky as Zara – we dont have a zoology museum 🙁 would be cool to have one in Nottingham!!
We have a big lake on our campus and it’s pretty with swans, ducks and lots of different kinds of birds! I like the stones in the lake the best so we can walk across it to the other side! And if it’s a sunny day there will be icecream vans… waiting for me!! 😛
At the Sutton Bonnington campus – there are lots of animals there but I have never been because it is quite far away.
I work at the University of Essex (in Colchester, Essex).
However, I also travel around a fair bit and work closely with people in Ireland (Cork and Galway), in York, Bristol, Lowestoft, St Andrews, Leicester, Nottingham, Glasgow (not Zara or Christine!), as well as France and New Zealand.
Today I am off to Swindon for a research grant meeting (where we decide who to give science funding money to)!
You definitely get plenty of chance to travel around and visit places as a scientist!
