I like art! I’m not very good but I like painting for fun (e.g. I did this one to make fun of my flatmate who is always playing xbox, that’s her face in the middle: ).
And music… I played the clarinet at school but I’m not very good any more! I can play a bit of piano. I wish I could play guitar but I only know a few chords! I like going to see live bands and there are plenty of them in Glasgow! 🙂
I like Maths – because I use it to help my studies in ecology. I also do some work that uses computer science and psychology as well!
I also like art and music. I used to like drawing (now I prefer photography), and although I like listening to music, I have never been very good at playing any instruments! 🙁
I also like history – I have loads of history books at home and like reading about past societies like the romans and the celts.
My other favourite subjects in school were maths and languages. I didn’t care much for French class because my brother was in the same class as me. But I loved taking Spanish and Russian. I love music and art, too, but didn’t like either of them as subjects at school.
I liked business studies.. I enjoyed learning how an organisation runs and manage so many people as well I sat next to funny friends!
history… to find out what happened before I was born which can also explain why things are a certain way in society!
art and cookery classes 🙂 because we get to listen to music and chat in art and eat in cookery class 😉
@Zara, if you want to learn guitar, take a look at Glasgow Fiddle Workshop. They teach evening classes for a range of stringed instruments. I have been studying mandolin with them, but had to drop out of the taught classes because of the timing and my commute from Edinburgh.
No, it isn’t difficult. Only 4 strings so probably easier than the guitar. Like everything else, it takes time and practice to get good at it, but the basics are pretty easy.

Ooh thanks for the rec! I bought my brother a mandolin for his birthday a couple of years ago and he still doesn’t know how to play… is it difficult?
