Question: are crayfish grey?

Crayfish come in all different colours! The ones I study are brown with red claws. I know at least one species is grey… the cave crayfish lives in caves and is a kind of pale grey/white colour:

Some crayfish are bright blue! Some pure white ones have been found too… very pretty! Here’s a photo: There’s quite a lot of variation in the colour and pattern of crayfish, even within the same species.
