      Yes, you can! And many people do. That’s the main reason crayfish were introduced here in the 1970s – for crayfish farming. In this country, you can buy dead crayfish from the supermarket or fishmonger (Marks and Spencers, for example, do a crayfish wrap). It is illegal to trap crayfish without a licence though.

      In other countries likes Sweden, eating crayfish is very popular. So popular, that every August they have crayfish parties! Everyone gets together and has a big crayfish feast. People even dress up and wear funny hats! Have a look: Ikea, the Swedish homeware shop, sometimes put on crayfish parties in August too.

      Famous chefs like Gordon Ramsay and Ray Mears have also used crayfish in their recipes.

      I think Zara has given a good answer already!

      I saw crayfish sandwiches in our university shop the other day – I didn’t buy them though as I’m vegetarian!

      I have seen them being sold in sainsbury’s.
