I got good maths grades at school (A for maths and further maths A-level) and in my university degree (a 1st – which is roughly similar to an A). I guess I was lucky as I always enjoyed studying it and that made it easier to work hard at it and learn what I needed to get good grades.
I think if you work really hard then you can certainly do well at maths – it is a very useful subject whatever you end up doing after school.
