Sadly, no, I don’t know the full periodic table by heart but I know the parts that I use. Did you know that there’s a song for the periodic table, but even it isn’t accurate anymore? This is the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFIvXVMbII0 but just a few days ago, two new elements were added to the periodic table: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-13699575

I’m no chemist so unfortunately I don’t know it… you should watch the song that Christine posted, it’s so catchy! I used to beg my chemistry teacher to play it to us at school 🙂

I don’t know the periodic table off by heart although I did see a BBC documentary about it a few weeks ago. The person who discovered the pattern in the elements that we now call periodic table was a Russian called Mendeleev. He was an interesting character if you believe Wikipedia!

hehe but if you are interested.. here is a video of the world’s smallest periodic table – etched on to a HAIR.. that belongs to Prof. Poliakoff. He is a professor in the University of Nottingham and he is a bit of a crazy scientist 😛
