      Sometimes!

Science is based on evidence so we would need some facts before we start arguing about what something we find might mean. However, there are often lots of ways of interpreting a piece of information / evidence and hence scientists do often have quite lively discussions and arguments.

Usually to solve the argument one of the scientists would have to come up with some more evidence to support their point of view. Once they do this then the other scientists usually accept things (but not always and some arguments between scientists can go on for a long time!). Luckily I haven’t had any major disagreements with other scientists about my work (yet!).
