Yes I do 🙂 I always have, and I guess I’m lucky that way because maths is really useful. It hasn’t always come to me easily, but I have always liked a challenge and the feeling you get when you solve a really hard problem is just great! Do you also feel that maths only makes sense when you need it for a purpose?

I like Maths – it’s my job after all! 🙂

I don’t like all maths though – some maths can be quite advanced and goes above my head. I like maths where I can visualise where it is being used – this is why I like applying the maths I know to ecological problems.

@ Zara – we’ll convince you by the end of IAS 😛

I have always found maths the hardest subject but I quite enjoy getting stuck and then finding the answer (after a long time!). It makes me feel happy for some reason (a bit sad maybe :-p) but I find it really useful nowadays because I use it almost everyday in my work!!

I think we have lots of opinions here. Mine falls square in the middle. Some maths I really like and others not so much. I have never been much good at statistics, though I appreciate that subject a lot more now. I like geometry and advanced maths like calculus where I can see the answers as shapes or patterns.
