• Question: do you think there is such thing as god

      I have no idea! I used to go to church when I was younger but I stopped going, partly because I wanted a lie-in on a Sunday and partly because I wasn’t sure what I believed!

      At the moment I’m agnostic (I don’t know).

      I’m not very religious. I don’t think that there is a god in the traditional sense like people used to make out (an old guy sitting on a cloud looking down on us).

      However, if we look at our universe it is incredible that conditions should be just as they are such that life can develop and evolve. I am quite drawn to the idea that our entire universe is very similar to a computer simulation (and if so who set up the ‘rules’ for the simulation?). In some of my work I set up simulations with virtual animals – I control all the rules of the world but then I leave them to their own devices and see what happens (like animal Sims). If you ever watched the Matrix films they explored similar ideas to this!

      Honestly, I don’t know either. That’s a very personal and individual question. I have not found my own answer yet.

      I have been thinking about this a lot! I used to go to church when I was younger because I thought there is a God but as I grew older and more I thought about it.. the less religious I have become. I find that it strange that most religious places have wars and fight each other if it was all about love and peace.. and forgiveness.

      I find that most religions are roughly believing in the same things – do good deeds and be nice to everyone etc. but everyone in different religions disagree and doesn’t make room for
      each other? Religion is largely based on where you are born and what culture you are born in too.

      But on the flip side- the world is so amazing.. so is there a designer/creator?
      can evolution explain it all?

      It’s strange because I find that I have arguments for both sides but personally I think ‘God’ is more like a massive ball of energy to me!
