• Question: Do you think your religious beliefs affect your work?

      No I don’t. I think that religion and science should be treated as completely separate things. As you may know sometimes religion and science contradict each other. The most common example is the argument about evolution and creation. People struggle to accept evolution as a fact because it denies what religion tells them, and they stand up for their belief. I don’t let religion get in the way of science because I look at religion as something purely spiritual. I don’t take religious statements literally, I interpret them in a way that makes sense to me. Sometimes religion – or I prefer to call it spirituality – gives me the power of understanding myself and other people better. It is more of a philosophy to me than something I profoundly believe in.
      Your question is very important, and I have been thinking about this kind of things a lot in the past few years. If you have more questions or comments about this, please post them.
