      Hi Kingjay

I have been collecting data for one particular project since I started my PhD two years ago. That’s my beach survey where I assess how much plastics I find on them. I have visited forty-five beaches, some of them several times. I will do this until autumn this year. I also have an experiment running that looks at the degradation of plastics in the environment. I exposed material samples in different places last August. Some of them will be out there until Autumn next year, but someone else will analyze them, because by that time I will have finished my degree. It’s really useful to collect data over a long period of time, because it will not be affected by events that maybe just happen to occur at the moment you collect the data.
