      Good question… and the answer is…. BOTH!

      Crayfish eat lots of things (for more info, check this: http://www.tinyurl.com/imascientist ) but they are food for other animals too!

      Mammals like otters and mink enjoy munching crayfish. So do some birds, like herons. Big fish like trout and eels will eat baby crayfish!
