• Question: What was your favourite experiment at school?

      Hey Clara 🙂

      I think it was the first experiment I ever did at school: I simulated a volcano eruption! I built a volcano from play dough around a drinking glass (you can really use anything to build that volcano from). I poured some baking powder and flour into the glass. Then I made a mix of vinegar and red food coloring in a separate container. I poured the mix into the volcano, and it erupted 🙂
      This happens because of a strong exothermic reaction between the sodium in the baking powder and the vinegar. It doesn’t work without the food coloring, but I don’t know exactly why. Let me know if it worked 😉
