I met my best friend in my final year at school and we are still great friends even though there is an ocean between us. We met in a technology class and found that we had lots in common. Our choices after school have taken us to different places but we have always found time for each other. Even if we go months without talking to each other, as soon as we get together, it is like no time at all has passed.

I had a couple of best friends at school and yes, Iā€™m still in touch with them! One of them is a scientist too (she studies proteins in cells) and she works at the same university as me, so I see her a lot which is great! The other one is in a campervan at the moment, travelling across Europe with her boyfriend. She’s been keeping me updated on her journey by blogging about it, it sounds like so much fun! I’m very happy to still have my best friends.

I don’t think I had a ‘best’ friend when at school – I had lots of friends who I hung around with (same as at University). I am still in contact with some, but have lost contact with others.

Since I had my son (who is now 2) I can’t think of the last time I went out socialising! However, I do get to play with toys and read children’s books so I guess that makes up for it! šŸ™‚

Yeah my best friend from year 3 is still one of my best friends now!

She is my best friend is because I can trust her and we can share secrets!!
She will give me her honest opinion even if it might not be what I really want to hear.
Also it’s strange but it takes no effort to make a conversation with her and she will come up with random and crazy things to say, which always make me laugh. Nowadays with research work- we only speak about once every 6 months and meet up once or twice a year because we are quite far away but as soon as we meet we end up chatting constantly!!!
I know I can always call her for anything šŸ™‚

I always had few but very good friends back in school. Obvioulsy it has been a long time, and we all do very different things now, but it’s still great to talk when we meet!
