      Hi mellymoo10! 🙂

Do you mean, where in the world? I’ve made a map to answer your question! Each marker is a place that I’ve been because of research!

So… lots of places in Scotland, but also further afield – France, Cyprus, Trinidad & Tobago!

      Hey mellymoo10,

Not an awful lots of places yet 🙁 Just to Leicester and London! But hoping to go to one of the Malaysian Rainforest to have a look at my plants myself next year!

I think research have the potential to take you to anywhere in the world! There are so many researches going on and it is almost certain that another research group on the other side of the world is working on something related. So it is possible to arrange a visit 🙂
I am looking into contacting the Hilo University in Hawaii because they too are looking at natural products that can treat cancer 🙂 Really hope they will allow me to visit for a month or something! It’s like a mini bonus holiday plus work on the side!

I have been all over Europe to meetings and conferences related to my work (Italy, France, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Ireland). Some of the human crowds experiments we did were done in Germany where the German TV stations were interested in the work!

My student is also just flying out to Wakatobi in Indonesia – he is collecting data on baby coral reef fish. We are trying to determine how they navigate back to coral reefs when they are ready to return there. We want to find out whether they work together in groups or whether they act on their own. Just like Finding Nemo!

Unfortunately I have to stay at home while he is out there collecting the data!
