I don’t have any pets at the moment (other than my crayfish at uni!). I live in a flat now so I’m not allowed any animals 🙁 But when I was younger I had a few!
My first ever pet was Snowball, a long-haired hamster. I was sooo upset when he died, I even wrote an obituary (if you want a laugh, you can read it here: )
I had other hamsters – Gnasher and NIbbles were Chinese dwarf hamsters. I also had guinea pigs, Smokey and Fudge. I always wanted a cat and dog but was never allowed one! Maybe I’ll have one when I’m older 🙂
Not sure if this question is for Zara only but it was on my list as well!
I have 2 cats, 2 fantail goldfish and 4 chickens who lay eggs for us every day. We also have a big garden with a wildlife pond that has frogs and newts and dragonflies!
One of the first things I did when I finished my PhD and moved into a ‘proper’ house was to get a cat… (and then another cat, …and then some fish, …and then some chickens….)

Be careful! 😉

Haha I can definitely see this happening! I cat-sat for someone recently and became super attached to it after just a week…. one day……

It’s definitely a slippery slope – our pets led on to more pets and then (inevitably) to small children…. 😉
